Intruder Alarms

Intruder Alarms offer peace of mind while you are away from your property, be it domestic or commercial. Every property has different needs. In the event of a break-in our alarm systems will activate both internal and external sirens and contact our monitoring station, via your telephone or GSM network who will in-turn contact an Garda Siochana and your keyholders.

In general, there are two categories of alarms systems available, wired, and wireless.

Wired System

A wired system involves the use of cables running from the main control panel to power, and monitor each piece of equipment. This system is usually installed in premises where cables are provided either by us or by the electrician during the building phase. It is possible to have a wired system in some premises after building is complete. A site visit will determine this.

Wireless System

A wireless alarm system can be installed in any building. All sensors and detection equipment are powered by batteries (5 year battery life), making installation fast and neat.

Basic alarm systems

Most simple alarm systems include:

2 - 4 sensors/detectors (which can distinguish between human and pet movement);
A key pad;
A control panel (with battery back-up in case of a power failure);
An internal and external siren.

More sophisticated alarms have a wider range of features such as:

• Alarming certain areas of the house while you are home;

• Perimeter detectors which can detect an intruder before they enter your property.

• Panic alarms which let you activate the alarm remotely e.g. from your bedside.
